George Ancuta is an experienced, PGA Certified Professional in Instruction, and a highly trained golf instructor regularly working with all ages and skill levels. George makes it easy for you to understand the game of golf, so that you can reach your potential. George Ancuta teaches men, women, and juniors of all skill levels and abilities. He creates a clear picture of what the swinging motion is and the change the student has to make His description of the swing is simple to understand. George is immensely patient with his students and always has a calming influence. Unless that picture is clear, he does not feel the change will become permanent. He is always able to explain even seemingly complicated situations in very simple terms so the student is sure to understand. With understanding comes a certain confidence the objective can be reached. George is also a successful motivator; whether a person needs a cheerleader or a challenge, he finds a way to encourage his students to improve.
George Ancuta does not only teach how a golf club should be swung, but how to play, how to think, and conduct yourself on the course. Finding someone to show you how to swing is easy. Finding someone, like George that will take the time to teach you how to make the most of your abilities, to help you develop an imagination, and to play with honor and integrity, is a lot harder. George teaches these things not just with words but by example.
MIND MASTERING
Your Best Golf Begins Here. Master your golfing mind.
"Every good shot is the outcome of a satisfactory psychological-physical relationship."
"It is this relationship that gives control and consistency.”
“You must be mindful, but not thoughtful as you swing.”
- PERCY BOOMER, On Learning Golf, 1942
“The toughest course is the five inches between our ears.”
- Bobby Jones
“Golf is twenty percent physical and eighty percent mental”
- Ben Hogan
Why Is The Mental Game So Important?
Many players complain that they can perform satisfactorily when relaxed, but not when it counts. The reason for this phenomenon is that aside from the uneven or poor lies, and the such encountered during play, the outcome or score becomes important to the player and this can and does produce anxiety, fear of failure and social anxiety over how the player's performance is perceived by others. These fears trigger some of the fight or flight response within the individual. When this response is activated, adrenalin and other unwanted or inappropriate brain chemicals are secreted and this in turn changes the degree of arousal and increases muscle tension. This change alters the swing and eventually the shot itself. The secret to excellent play is to learn to manage one's emotional level by altering thinking and consciousness.
I focus on helping you tap the real secret of great golf; Your Mental Talents and application of on the course thinking and focusing. That is how great golf happens!
