GEORGE ANCUTA

George Ancuta is an experienced, PGA Certified Professional in Instruction, and a highly trained golf instructor regularly working with all ages and skill levels. George makes it easy for you to understand the game of golf, so that you can reach your potential. George Ancuta teaches men, women, and juniors of all skill levels and abilities. He creates a clear picture of what the swinging motion is and the change the student has to make His description of the swing is simple to understand. George is immensely patient with his students and always has a calming influence. Unless that picture is clear, he does not feel the change will become permanent. He is always able to explain even seemingly complicated situations in very simple terms so the student is sure to understand.  With understanding comes a certain confidence the objective can be reached.  George is also a successful motivator; whether a person needs a cheerleader or a challenge, he finds a way to encourage his students to improve.

George Ancuta does not only teach how a golf club should be swung, but how to play, how to think, and conduct yourself on the course. Finding someone to show you how to swing is easy. Finding someone, like George that will take the time to teach you how to make the most of your abilities, to help you develop an imagination, and to play with honor and integrity, is a lot harder. George teaches these things not just with words but by example.

George has been very consistent in his teaching philosophy and has achieved consistently good results with golfers of all skill levels. He has always kept himself informed about the latest ideas and methods and is usually among the first to try out the newest teaching aids. These “new” theories serve to reinforce his tried and true methods and provide more ways for him to communicate those same fundamentals to his students.

In addition to his teaching, George has also proved himself as an accomplished player. He has qualified and competed in numerous tournaments including Met Opens, New Jersey PGA Tournaments, New Jersey State Opens, Charity Events, and Professional Tournament Series in Florida.

As students, you will enjoy George’s boundless enthusiasm, great communication skills and his passion for teaching. You will also value the fact that you will improve as players as you learn from this truly skilled instructor.

My philosophy, simply stated is this:

To play good golf requires you to train your body to swing well, but just as important, you must train your mind to make your body repeat that swing and to apply the swing to produce all the shots needed in golf. Moreover, if you can not think and analyze on the golf course and make sound club and shot selections and develop short game techniques, you’re never really going to play and score well, or nearly up to your potential. With good natural physical ability you can have a good swing, hit a majority of solid shots, and still not be breaking 80 or 85, or whatever your scoring limit seems to be. It is know that limit is mostly mental, NOT PHYSICAL! This applies regardless of athletic ability! I help you learn how to get the most from your physical swing and mental abilities. I require your personal commitment to apply yourself to these goals in order for you to achieve your best results! That's it, nothing less will suffice!

Along with good technical instruction in the mechanics of the golf swing. It is know as well, that to play great golf, even good golf, requires not only good swing mechanics at the outset, but exceptional mental understanding of the game with strong mental focusing and self control.  The mental side of golf is fully 75% or more of the game on the course! Top players and tour pros know this. However, for some reason that doesn't seem to get communicated to students. Apparently, at least not very effectively.

It is well known that golf is probably the most difficult sport there is to master. The single greatest reason for that is playing well requires a deep level of thinking & analysis throughout a round! People who don’t believe that just don’t understand what it takes to really play well. Or they believe that would be too much work. It’s not, it’s just part of the game. A really big part! Great golf simply demands that you learn to apply your mind just like the golf swing!  I want you to understand how to play golf, not just hit the ball!

MIND MASTERING

Your Best Golf Begins Here.  Master your golfing mind.

"Every good shot is the outcome of a satisfactory psychological-physical relationship."

"It is this relationship that gives control and consistency.”

“You must be mindful, but not thoughtful as you swing.”

On Learning Golf, 1942

“The toughest course is the five inches between our ears.”

“Golf is twenty percent physical and eighty percent mental”

Why Is The Mental Game So Important?

Many players complain that they can perform satisfactorily when relaxed, but not when it counts.  The reason for this phenomenon is that aside from the uneven or poor lies, and the such encountered during play, the outcome or score becomes important to the player and this can and does produce anxiety, fear of failure and social anxiety over how the player's performance is perceived by others.  These fears trigger some of the fight or flight response within the individual.   When this response is activated, adrenalin and other unwanted or inappropriate brain chemicals are secreted and this in turn changes the degree of arousal and increases muscle tension.  This change alters the swing and eventually the shot itself.  The secret to excellent play is to learn to manage one's emotional level by altering thinking and consciousness.

I focus on helping you tap the real secret of great golf; Your Mental Talents and application of on the course thinking and focusing. That is how great golf happens! If you are ready to play the kind of golf you always dreamed you could, and committed to applying yourself, then with my help this can be achieved.

Schedule your visit, and finally progress to the great golf you always knew you could enjoy!
